Road Frames

The new Ascent is more adaptable than ever. The frame is TIG-welded with heat-treated, triple-butted Ritchey Logic steel tubing that features rack and fender mounts and a multi-purpose mount under the downtube, while a new Ritchey steel fork offers up multi-purpose, rack, fender and dynamo light mounts. Other notable features of the new Ritchey Ascent include post-mount brake compatibility, 148mm spacing and an external seat collar. Throw a mountain bike bar on it and some 27.5" wheels for more trail-oriented adventures. Or ride it with drop bars and 29" wheels for some longer distance rough road riding. Extra large diameter, thin-wall Tange Prestige chromoly coupled with modern touches like thru-axles and compact geometry give this frame increased power transfer and road feel while still delivering a composed and plush ride at all speeds. The original inspiration for the Wolverine was “monster cross”, but it is seriously so much more. Its geometry is stable enough for off road touring, but sporty enough for all-around adventure. 2023 brings us the 4.1 A-Type update which adopts the flat mount disc standard on the frame and optional CrMo fork. The A-Type has more modern standards than the B-Type, such as 142mm rear thru-axle and a 44mm headtube that will fit 1-1/8 straight steerer or tapered steerer forks with the proper headset type. There is NO frame break for Belt-Drive on the A-Type Wolverine. The Jawbone B-Type frame is a versatile platform to build drop bar mountain touring and bike packing rig. While it is still game for riding your favorite trail loop it it is its element when loaded up. The B-Type version is for rider who may still prefer the familiarity of 100/135mm QR hubs, but appreciates extra features like sliding dropouts and a tons of mounting bosses. - Tange Prestige heat-treated butted CrMo steel; butted CrMo rear end - IRD Broski Sliding Dropouts allows for running derailleurs as well as geared hubs like Rohloff (Stock dropout insert is for 135mm QR. 142 x 12mm Thru-Axle inserts available separately, SF4958, SF4959.
